The About page has been redesigned. I'm still trying to figure out how to nicely display data from CDC without filling up the chart.

David : Apr 19, 2010 7 Months Old

Hello everyone. I'm 7 months old now and feeling it! I am quite the mover and shaker these days. I've started to get up on all fours and I wriggle and squirm and roll as if there were no tomorrow. Still no teeth yet. This is quite disappointing to me because I want to eat everything, but I am limited these days. I'll get there. Adam cracks me up. I love to watch everything he does and play with his leftover toys. I started waking up early, but mom and dad put their foot down on that. I'm doing much better now and my naps are getting longer too. So, we're all happy about that.

Well, it's bedtime for me. Yawn.

Mike : Apr 06, 2010 Bad Day

So I put on my new pants this morning. As I was feeding David he spit-up. With cat like reflexes I swooped in with the burb-rag and caught all the spit-up. I was pretty proud of myself. Then the doorbell rang. As I got up I noticed a chocolate like substance on my pants. Then I realized it wasn't chocolate. Then I realized it was all over my shirt and hands. David's diaper was overflowing.

When I got to work, it started to drizzle. I figured the umbrella wasn't worth the trouble. Then when I was about 100ft from the door. It down poured! I was soaked by the time I got into the office.

At least I got to deal with the Illinois Department of Employment Securities. Yea, because we have a nany we have to pay unemployement. That's fine. We received a letter indicating that our "account" was terminated at our request. So I called. The nice lady told me that the system said my accout was closed at my request. I said what request. She said I needed to fax them a letter saying the termination was in error. I guess they don't keep a file? Finally, the day got better. I found a fax to IDES after a conversation with the same lady. Last year they misspelled my name. At least they are consistant. I'm just worried about what they did with the form and check I sent them last month. At least nobody cashed it yet.

Maybe Daddy will take the day off tomorrow.

David : Apr 06, 2010 24 pounds and counting

Hello everyone. Wow! What a weekend! I've been super busy smiling at people and making new friends. Uncle Adam and Aunt Sarah came to visit. We had so much fun. On Friday Aunt Sarah and mommy took us to the doctor and then to the riverwalk in Naperville. We got to feed the ducks. Meanwhile, Uncle Adam, Daddy and Mr. Kranman were building my swingset. After naps we went outside and hung out with everyone while they built the swingset. Uncle Adam and Adam were playing with squirt guns. I was getting sprayed from a distance but I kept thinking it was food and trying to drink the water. Then 10 seconds after being sprayed I shot back in my walker. Okay, okay...I have delayed reflexes. But, everyone else found it pretty funny.

I've been eating lots of fruits and veggies these days. Anything mommy gives me I scarf down and don't even flinch at new flavors. I even love my peas! I am starting to sit up on my own now and I reach for EVERYTHING!! Adam better watch out because I will start taking his toys as soon as I can get my little hands on them!

This was my first Easter and it was a great one. I'm happy to be home, but it was great to see everyone. I'll be sure to save some smiles for everyone for next time.

Love,

David

Adam : Apr 06, 2010 Pee Pee in the Potty!

I did it again! Mom is quite proud. I don't even need M&Ms anymore. I sat on the potty after dinner tonight and mommy said, "would you like me to take off your diaper?" So I went over to her and let her take off my diaper and then I sat back on the potty and went pee pee. I also wanted to sleep in my big boy bed tonight, but mommy thought I should sleep in the crib instead. I was okay with it when she put my pillow in my crib. I LOVE my pillow. It's a must have. So much more comfy.

I had a great time with the family on Easter. We stayed at a hotel with the Karius grandparents and aunts and uncles. Uncle Adam, Aunt Sarah, Mommy, Daddy and David and I all went swimming in the hotel pool. It was a lot of fun. Back in the hotel room I liked opening everything. Every drawer, the fridge, the safe, etc. I kept trying to put David's formula in the safe and then lock it in there. Uncle Adam decided he should lock the safe so that I didn't stick something in it and lock it with a code no one else knew. So Uncle Adam locked it with the code 1111. So, then I walked up to it and pressed 5555. An error popped up. So then I went back to it and hit 1111. It popped open and I went "ooooohhhh!" The next morning Grandma hid Easter presents all over the room. I got to open the fridge and the drawers and look behind the couch and there were presents everywhere. I'm going to have to make sure I always go through everything at a hotel room to find any presents that may be left behind.

I was a very good boy in church on easter. I wasn't so good during breakfast, but I was a good boy for the Easter service. My Great Uncle Dan was preaching. He also played the trumpet. I liked that. After a short visit with family it was time to head back. I was a bit of a pill because I was low on sleep, but once I got in bed I was OUT!

My Grandparents in Illinois got me a fun Easter toy that lights up and vibrates. My uncle Adam taught me that it was an ear cleaner so now I walk up to everyone and clean their ears with it. I never realized how dirty everyone's ears are.

Well, it's back to bed now. Happy Easter everyone!

Big A

David : Mar 29, 2010 Hungry

It's been a while. I'm getting bigger and bigger. Mom and Dad think they got me on a schedule. I am on a schedule, but I am a growing boy! So Saturday I got up at 3AM for a snack. After 8 or so ounces I went back to sleep. Today I got up at 5:15 for breakfast. My parents are soo lazy.

I had green beans for the first time. Delicious! I don't know what Adam's problem was. My first time I at the hold can, and asked for more. It's good to get a change at some actual flavor. I'm getting tired of milk and rice cereal!

Adam : Mar 29, 2010 Potty Time Part?...well I did it again!

Yep, Momma put the potty in front of my TV! Now why didn't I think of that. TV, M&M and no diaper holding me back!

Adam : Mar 26, 2010 Potty Time

Yep, I used the potty again last night. Momma gives me an M&M just for sitting on the thing. I figured while I was there, I might as well use it! Momma's so cute.

David : Mar 11, 2010 Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'

Well folks, I am still the happy camper you've known me to be over these last 6 months (yes..I am almost 6 months old now). I sleep through the night consistently, but mom is worried that will stop once I get my first teeth in. My favorite hangout spot is my "office." It's really my activity center but mommy says I look so busy that it is where I get all my work done.

I smile ALL the time. It cracks mommy up. Lately I get to sit in the highchair during dinner. I just smile and laugh the whole time because I'm just so happy to spend time with the family. I also love to roll. As soon as you put me on my back I roll right to my belly. No problem!

Well that's about it for now. Love ya!

Adam : Mar 11, 2010 The sun HAS come out!

Yeah! It's nice outside again. I get to play in the backyard and go for walks. Granted, I have to share my stroller with David these days, but it is worth it to go outside. It's funny watching mommy try to push us and turn around corners. David and I weigh about 55lbs together. It;s a little tougher than last year. Haha.

I can now point out my head, belly button, toes, ears, mouth, and my favorite NOSE! I say lots of words these days including Peeese (please), danku (thank you), and ugin (again). The other day I went to the drawer and grabbed a fork and an oven mitt and walked up to mommy and said "Eat. Eat." I think she got the point that I was hungry.

More later.

David : Mar 10, 2010 Yawn

It takes forever for mommy to get me in the mornings. She keeps calling my mobile a "snooze button". These parents today!

Adam : Mar 10, 2010 Chillin

So Dad got all excited yesterday with me watching tv! Yea, while he was in the kitchen (such a woman!), I jumped on his chair put my hands behind my head and relaxed. We were watching short circuit. It wasn't that great of a movie. The premise was stupid, but it was entertaining none-the-less.

I just updated the site. New colors. New fancy javascripting for news posting. Next I will clean-up the guestbook. Enjoy

Mike : Mar 07, 2010 Surprise!

Yea, it was a surprise birthday party. Now I know why I got so much computer time! Anyway, around 1:30 Micky showed-up. We went to see Alice in Wonderland. I was wondering where Katie was? Then Katie showed-up after the movie. Micky left. I figured Micky and Jenny got kid duty. Then a trip to the apple store. Then sushi. That's when I saw my dad come out of the bathroom and knew something was up. It was great seeing everyone.

I even got a mac cake! Not a cake with a mac on it, but a cake that looked like a macbook pro opened. With keyboard keys and all. The function keys for lights, volume, etc.. were even there. Awesome!

I wonder how Katie is going to top this next year?...

Mike : Mar 06, 2010 Birthday Day!

I am in the middle of the best birthday ever. My woman treats me like a king. It's all a mystery to me! Not just why she loves this man I am, but what we are doing today. She gives me clue cards as to what is happening next. She brought me coffee and tea and made breakfast while I quietly read. She picked out my clothes and hung them up in the bathroom while I showered. She got the kids ready and we just went for a walk to the park with the boys. Adam loved it. Then as we were walking home she bave me another card, coffee. She gave me a Panera gift card and off I went. Now I'm at Panera I guess until 1:30. I wonder what is next...
